Maintenance Assistant
Mission / function
Assist in the conservation and maintenance of the facilities, equipment and other areas of the hotel.
Task description
- Daily temperature control of the hotel's appliances plus weekly purging of the appliances
- Daily monitoring of SPA parameters plus weekly SPA cleaning
- Daily monitoring of the outdoor pool parameters plus pool cleaning
- Change of filters of all air conditioners in the hotel plus the flats twice a year
- Clean drains twice a year
- Attend to the daily reports of hotel incidents such as; lights, plugs, doors, locks... (you have to pick up the report sheet every morning at the hotel reception)
- Supervision of the proper functioning of the hotel's facilities and equipment
- Monitoring of the lighting in the different rooms
- Preparing the set-up for different ceremonies (boas, company meetings...)
- Cleaning of the filters of all automatic devices once a week.
- Run the generator for 10 minutes once a week to avoid breakdowns
- Checking the salt level in the machine room on a daily basis (if salt is missing, order it from the relevant supplier)
Requirements
- A training course in electricity would be an advantage
- 1 year performing maintenance tasks
- Previous experience in electrical and pallateriative care would be an asset
Important observations
- On the first day you will be shown all our facilities to the full extent of our services
- In the first few days you will be tested to see how you are getting on with the job
- Your manager will give you a first training of procedures and parameters, then you will be given a practical test to check that you have achieved the concepts
- You will have to alternate every other week with your boss, a 24-hour telephone duty in case of any major breakdowns
